Choose Wraps to Wrap Up the Carbs

Traditional Wraps ordered from the Redner’s Markets deli offer a healthy, flavorful option for fellow tailgaters. A small tray is appropriate for 10-15 people, and a large tray serves 20-25 people. These wraps are available made from wheat, spinach, sun-dried tomato, assorted, or plain tortillas with turkey breast, cooked ham, or Italian deli meat with the choice of Provolone, Swiss, or American cheese and lettuce, tomatoes, and onions.

With ingredients found at Redner’s Markets, you can easily make your own wrap tray!

Consider the following recipes:

Touchdown Tortillas

Active Time: 20 min; Total Time: 20 min

Makes 6 servings.

Ingredients:

  • 3 – 8” flour tortillas
  • 4 oz. of light cream cheese
  • About 20 fresh basil leaves
  • ½ cup of sweet, roasted red peppers (from a jar)
  • 4 oz. thin-sliced deli meat (roast beef, ham, or turkey)
  • 1 TBSP light salad dressing

Instructions:

  1. Spread ⅓ of the cream cheese on each of the tortillas.
  2. Add basil leaves on top of the cream cheese and then roasted red peppers on top of the basil leaves.
  3. Top with your choice of lunch meat.
  4. Spread ⅓ of the salad dressing on the lunch meat.
  5. Roll the tortillas tightly and then cut each in half.

Buffalo Chicken Tortilla Wraps

Active Time: 10 min; Total Time: 10 min

Makes 4 servings.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups chicken (cooked and shredded)
  • ½ cup buffalo sauce
  • 2 – 10” flour tortillas
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • ½ cup carrots, shredded
  • ¾ cup cheese, grated
  • ¼ cup ranch dressing

Instructions:

  1. Toss the cooked chicken with the buffalo sauce to coat.
  2. Warm a tortilla.
  3. Put half of the chicken in the center of the tortilla.
  4. Top with the lettuce, carrots, cheese, and ranch.
  5. Roll the tortilla tightly and cut it in half.
  6. Repeat with the other tortilla.

Turkey Club Wrap

Active Time: 10 min; Total Time: 10 min

Makes 8 servings.

Ingredients:

  • 4 – 10” flour tortillas
  • 1 cup ranch
  • 1 lb. thin-sliced turkey breast
  • 8 slices of bacon, cooked
  • 8 slices American cheese
  • Romaine lettuce
  • Tomato, sliced

Instructions:

  1. On each tortilla, spread out 3 TBSP of ranch.
  2. Top with 4 slices of turkey.
  3. Add 2 bacon slices and 2 slices of cheese.
  4. Top with lettuce and tomato to your liking.
  5. Roll up tightly and cut in half.

Veggie Lover Wraps

Active Time: 30 min; Total Time: 30 min

Makes 8 servings.

Ingredients:

Dressing:

  • ¾ cup olive oil
  • ¾ cup white wine vinegar
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • 3 TBSP Dijon mustard
  • 2 TBSP honey
  • ½ tsp minced garlic
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese

Wraps:

  • 2 cups chickpeas (cooked, drained, and rinsed)
  • 3 kale leaves (chopped)
  • 5 Brussels sprouts (sliced thin)
  • Shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 4 – 10” tortillas

Instructions:

  1. Blend the dressing ingredients in a blender until creamy.
  2. Mash the chickpeas, ¼ cup of the blended dressing, salt, and pepper with a potato masher.
  3. Toss the chopped kale leaves and Brussels sprouts with ¼ cup of the dressing.
  4. Layer the chickpea mash, vegetable mix, avocado, and cheese on the tortillas individually.
  5. Roll the tortilla tightly and cut it in half.
  6. Offer the remaining dressing as a dip.
