Redner’s Markets to Host Groundbreaking Event Unveiling First of its Kind Fresh Market Store Design and In-store Eatery in Wilmington, DE

Redner’s Markets today proudly announced that on November 13th it will host a groundbreaking celebration to commemorate the start of construction for its first store in Wilmington, DE. Not only will the new store mark Redner’s first location in the Wilmington marketplace, but the new location in the Kirkwood Plaza Shopping Center will be the first to leverage the company’s new Fresh Market 2.0 store layout centered on enhanced convenience and customer experience. The new store will include in-store eatery offerings and dedicated retail islands serving crave-worthy products and convenient meals, from smash burgers and hot donuts to lobster rolls and artisanal breads.

About the Groundbreaking Event
On November 13th at 10 AM, the groundbreaking celebration will begin. During the groundbreaking event held at the new store located on 4365 Kirkwood Highway Wilmington, DE, Redner’s leadership will share more detailed plans around the store team and operations and delve into how the new store model will redefine the ways customers eat and shop.

About the New Store Design and Offering
The 52,000-suare-foot store located at 4365 Kirkwood Highway Wilmington, DE, 19808, will include dedicated in-store eateries and islands offering a number of different products and dishes. Offerings include:
- Carnival Crush – offering nostalgic fair treats like popcorn, cotton candy, corn dogs, funnel cakes, and more
- Earl’s Smashburgers – offering burgers, fries, shakes and soft-serve with a dedicated eat-in “diner”
- Big Gary’s Famous Chicken – offering bone-in fried chicken, wings, and strips meals and readymade to-go options
- Fisher’s Pier – offering bread bowls of clam chowder or shrimp gumbo as well as lobster rolls, crab cakes, and shrimp po’boys
- Marybakes – offering signature store-made cookies and artisan breads fresh from the oven, party cakes, and new FRESH & HOT Donuts!
Additionally, the store will include retail islands offering artisanal cheeses with store-made fresh mozzarella, deli and prepared foods, meat and frozen foods, organic and gluten-free products, and more.
