Reading, Pa. - After completing a five day marathon cleaning effort following an intentionally set fire within its Phoenixville Warehouse Market, Redner's has scheduled the store to re-open for business at 7 am on Saturday, July 21. Customers can call the store at 610-415-1620 should they have any questions regarding the store and the scheduled opening.
The store, located within the Shoppes at Valley Forge 202 Schuylkill Rd, Phoenixville, has been closed since Saturday, July 14. At approximately 5:28 pm, a fire was intentionally set within the store's paper aisle. Quick reaction by store personnel, local fire and police departments helped in containing and extinguishing the fire before it spread to other parts of the store. Along with the fire the excessive smoke and water caused the bulk of damage to the store. Store officials and associates have been working round the clock to clean and prep the store for re-certification and the opening on 7/21 by the Chester County Department of Health.
Due to the intentional nature of the fire, Redner's Markets, Inc. is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person(s) responsible for the fire set on 7/14/2007. Any person with information should contact Trooper Anthony F. Thomas, Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshall at 484-340-3241.
