Reading, Pa. - As water
from the Susquehanna River begins to recede, Redner's advanced flood
preparations have paid off yet again. Redner's
has scheduled its Warehouse Market in the Mark Plaza Shopping Center to re-open
for business at 6 am on Friday, June 30. Customers
can call the store at 570-331-2092 should they have any questions regarding the
store and the scheduled opening.
Redner's would like to thank the Edwardsville and Larksville police and fire companies, Luzerne County emergency management services and Edwardsville Mayor Bernard Dubaskas for their assistance during the recent flood conditions. The local authorities were in constant contact with store director, John Marks as the store prepared for the worst conditions.
By
blocking all entrances with portable flood doors on Wednesday morning no water
damage was incurred. Employees
began working Tuesday night to prepare the store for the rising water by moving
product onto elevated racks and shipping perishable product for temporary
storage to its distribution facility in Reading, Berks County.
Product will be shipped to the store Thursday evening to be re-stocked
for business on Friday.
