Reading, Pa. - The products are stocked, refrigerators are cooled and the store is ready for the holiday season!. Maryland's first Redner's Warehouse Market is ready to serve the Elkton community with the lowest prices, freshest products and excellent service. Redner's Warehouse Markets are a totally new concept in grocery shopping the likes of which Elkton and the surrounding Cecil county community have never experienced! To give a taste of what a Warehouse Market has to offer, Redner's would like to invite the community to visit the store for a public open house on Tuesday, December 13th from 6 - 9 p.m. Elkton store director, Jim Nowrey, will be on hand to welcome the community and invite them to browse through the store. Various manufacturers and vendors will also be cooking and handing out samples of the products that will be available within the store. The store will officially open for business at 8 am on Wednesday, December 14th following a brief ribbon cutting ceremony with company and local officials.
The new Elkton Warehouse Market (311 Augustine Herman Highway; Route 213) will be a full service grocery store offering services such as; in store bakery, full service deli, fresh produce, meats and seafood departments, along with frozen, dairy, health and beauty aids/non-foods and grocery departments. This store will also feature Self Check-Out Terminals (S.C.O.T). Each S.C.O.T. includes self-checkout software and ATM-type technology that allow shoppers to pay with cash, credit or debit card. They can even use coupons and receive cash back from their transactions. The store will measure approximately 53,000 square feet. At full operating conditions, this store will employ approximately 140 people in both full and part-time positions. This location will be the 1st Warehouse Market located in Cecil County and Maryland.
