Reading, Pa. - Tuesday,
November 16th Redner's Markets, Inc. will open the doors to its
newest Warehouse Market in Oxford, Pa with a public open house from 6 - 9 p.m.
Redner's corporate and store staff will be on hand to answer any
questions the consumer may have regarding Redner's Warehouse Markets.
Store manager, Jim Nowrey, will be welcoming the community to Redner's
newest Chester county location. The
public is invited to come out and browse through the store and see what a
Redner's Warehouse Market has to offer in price, selection and freshness, as
well as sampling products available for sale. The store will officially open for
business on Wednesday, November 17th at 8 am after a brief ribbon
cutting ceremony by Redner's associates.
Redner's
newest Warehouse Market, 459 North Third Street, Oxford, Pa. 19363 will be a
full-service grocery store offering services such as; in-store bakery, full
service deli, fresh produce, meat and seafood departments, along with frozen,
dairy, health and beauty aids/non-foods and grocery departments. The store will
measure approximately 55,000 square feet. At
full operating conditions this store will employ approximately 150 people in
both full and part-time positions.
In addition to the open house
and grand opening activities customers are invited to donate a new toy towards
the United States Marine Corps Reserve's 2004 Toys for Tots program.
Redner's is proud to be in its 23rd year of partnership with
the U.S.M.C.R.'s Toys for Tots program. Marines
will be on hand to accept new toy donations during the open house evening.
Redner's began accepting new toys, cash donations and selling Toys for
Tots paper Choo Choo trains for $1.00 on Sunday, October 31. Through the sale of
the trains, Redner's is able to collect cash contributions that are donated to
the local Marine Corps detachment for use in purchasing new toys the following
year. For a $1.00 donation,
customers can write their name or a brief message on the train and have it hung
throughout the store. Redner's
also sells Entertainment Coupon books to collect funds for the Toys for Tots
program. 100% of the proceeds from
the sale of the paper trains and Entertainment books go towards the local Toys
for Tots program.
Last year, Redner's collected five tractor-trailer loads of toys and
$102,000
in
cash donations for local, needy children throughout Eastern Pennsylvania and New
York. Redner's is confident that
with the continued support of its customers and employees this year's program
can be successful as in previous years.
