Reading, Pa. - We have
finished, but we're not done yet! Redner's
Markets has concluded it's 2002 National Multiple Sclerosis program surpassing
the goal of raising $112,000 for donation to the National MS Society. To date we have collected $115,398 and the total continues to
grow. Walk team contributions and
in-store promotions are still being calculated and added to the amount of money
already collected.
Each year Redner's continues to use various avenues of collecting
donations to benefit the National MS Society such as paper sneakers for a
$1donation, collecting coin and cash donations, MS Walk team donations and
vendor participation. In all
Warehouse Markets and Quick Shoppes the program concluded on Sunday, May 5 with
$60,000 being collected through the sale of the paper sneaker and cash
collection. Team totals and product
promotions, though, are what continue to raise the donation total.
This year Redner's MS Walk team participated at four walk sites
throughout Eastern Pennsylvania. Manufacturers
are reporting totals for in-store promotions that pledge a monetary amount for
each unit of a product sold. With
product promotions wrapping up and money not yet counted from Redner's MS Walk
team, we are confident our contribution will be well above our goal.
Redner's currently operates 32 Warehouse Markets and 11 Quick Shoppes
throughout Eastern Pennsylvania and New York.
Redner's Markets Inc. is committed to working with the communities each
Warehouse Market and Quick Shoppe is located in. Redner's continually strives to provide the lowest
prices, freshest product and the outstanding service our customers have come to
expect over the past 30 years.
