October 25, 2001 - Redner's Warehouse Markets Presenting Donation to American Red Cross Disaster Relief Liberty Fund

Reading, Pa. - Redner's Warehouse Markets has recently concluded it's American Red Cross Program with American Red Cross Day.  Redner's will be presenting a check for $134,167.00 to representatives from the American Red Cross on Friday, October 26th at 11:00 a.m. at it's corporate warehouse in Reading, Pa.  This amount is the culmination of an intense fundraising program in all Warehouse Markets and Quick Shoppes in Eastern Pennsylvania and New York throughout September and October.

Following the tragic events of September 11, Redner's called upon customers and employee owners to help raise funds benefiting relief efforts in New York, Washington D.C. and Somerset County, Pennsylvania.  In the days that followed, Redner's began to collect cash donation and sell American Flags for $1.00 in all stores as a way to generate support for this great cause.  On Thursday, October 18, 2001 Redner's culminated this program with it's American Red Cross Day and took 5% of store sales on Thursday the 18th and added this amount to it's already growing donation.

Because of tremendous support from customers and associates alike, Redner's will be able to add to the Liberty Fund's already growing amount.  These monies will go towards relief efforts to benefit families affected by the September 11 attacks in New York City, Washington D.C. and Somerset County, Pennsylvania.

Redner's is confident that through the continued support of our customers and employees, we will be able to help the victims of 9/11/01 overcome and rebuild. God Bless America.
