Reading, Pa. - Redner's Warehouse Markets is on the move again! Company officials announced two new locations in Eastern Pennsylvania today, which will mark the addition of the 43rd & 44th stores to Redner's Warehouse Markets in Eastern Pennsylvania and New York. The stores will be located in Palmer Township, Lehigh County and Montgomery Township, Montgomery County.
The Easton location will be at 3745 Nicholas St. with plans to open on October 3, 2001. This new store will be 69,135 square feet, making it the largest store in the chain and feature many new amenities such as an Italian Sub-Shoppe, expanded dairy and frozen food departments and an extensive fresh seafood department. The variety of items in the frozen department will be triple the size of the previous tenant and offering a larger variety of products. This store will also have a dining area located next to the Italian Sub Shoppe.
Redner's will begin to stock product in mid-August with shipments set to arrive as early Saturday, August 11. The grocery department will be a little different from other Warehouse Markets, featuring new, user friendly aisles with an emphasis on easier customer navigation. The grocery department will feature a larger variety of items and an expanded selection of items, more than doubling the size than what Laneco had previously. This location will also include the traditional in-store bakery, produce, deli and meat, health/beauty aids, and nonfood departments for one stop shopping. When ready for grand opening, approximately 150 people will be employed in both full and part-time positions.
Redner's will move into a former Acme Market location which will be located in the Montgomery Commons Shopping Center in North Wales, Pennsylvania. With an expansion and remodel already scheduled, the new location at 1200 Welsh Rd. near the intersection of N. Wales and Rt. 63 in North Wales, has plans to open in the spring of 2002. Upon completion, this store will measure approximately 53,000 square feet representing the current Redner's Warehouse Market prototype. This will bring a full service supermarket featuring an in-store bakery, meat, deli, produce, dairy, frozen food, grocery, health/beauty aid, and nonfood departments. Upon the opening, this store also hopes to have a staff of 150 full and part-time employees.
Redner's Markets Inc. currently operates 31 Warehouse Markets and 11 Quick Shoppes located throughout Eastern Pennsylvania and New York. Redner's goal is to provide everyday low prices to all of it's customers, with an emphasis on variety, freshness, and excellent service.
