Redner's Markets recently completed it's second year of coordination with Easter Seals Eastern Pennsylvania in the Coins for Kids program. This year, Redner's sold paper pennies for $1.00 and collected loose change in participating Warehouse Markets and Quick Shoppes located in Berks, Lehigh, Schuylkill, Carbon, and Northampton counties for a contribution of $7241.30. Customers at Redner's Warehouse Markets could purchase a penny and write a message upon it, which would then be hung on the front wall for public display.
Presenting the check for Redner's Markets, will be Senior Vice President of Store Operations, Kevin Snyder. This year's total reflects an increase of $6,741.30 to be donated to Easter Seals Eastern Pennsylvania! In the five counties Redner's covers for Easter Seals Eastern Pennsylvania covers, 13 Warehouse Markets, eight Quick Shoppes and the corporate office and distribution center took part in raising fund for the program.
All proceeds collected for Easter Seals Eastern Pennsylvania go to over 1700 local children and adults with disabilities. Redner's would like to thank all of it's valued customer's, employees, and vendors who helped to make this program a great success in 2000. With continued support such as this, we can increase the amount donated to Easter Seals and continue to provide a much needed service.
