- Company officials have announced the closing of Redner's Warehouse Market in Middletown, New York. Opened in November 1996, the store is located within the Playtogs Shopping Center at 156 Dolson Avenue and will close at 6 pm on May 30, 2009. All full and part-time employees (82) have been offered assignments at other Redner's locations should they wish relocate. "This store has not been performing to our sales expectations. It was a difficult decision to make yet in the best interests of our company the board of directors felt that closure was our best move for this site. We will explore our options with the property owner regarding the future use of the building," said Ryan Redner, chief operating officer. Playtogs Shopping Center is owned by Wharton Realty of Eatontown, New Jersey.
